Soccer Win; first "official" goal of the year.

Today we got back into the win column. We've been struggling with people missing and injuries. Luckily some friends came out and played with us.

Somehow the play of the game was my goal. Our goalie, Raul, threw this perfect pass to me. I trapped it with my knee, pushing it past the Defense. it's one-on-one with the goalie... Pick a corner, shoot, GOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL!!!!!!! I let out a yell of happiness. Candice was running up and gave me a great high-5. I pointed at Victoria and blew her a kiss :) she was up clapping.

Now this goal may have been the game winner. I don't remember the score was when I scored, but we won 5-3. It is possible I scored the game winner. I think we only scored one more goal afterwards.

What surprised me was that everyone thought that it was a great goal. There are definitely a lot better players out there tonight. And they all came up to me and told me what a great goal it was. Nah, I needed to finish it for the team. I'm sure it was a great highlight reel goal.

But remember, every goal requires a great assist. So give it up to Raul for throwing a great pass up to me. And Dad for reminding me, it's just a pass to the back of the net.

All in all, back in the win column. bring it on to the next game which won't happen till next year. 2 weeks off. it'll be tough to stay in shape but i'll be good to go.
