Disneyland!
So we did our Annual Disneyland trip for Taylor. I must admit we were extremely spoiled. Grandma Linda got rooms at the Disneyland Grand Hotel. Located right next door to Disney California and Downtown Disney. It was a hop skip jump on into Disneyland.
Taylor had a great time. Everyday she had a huge amount of energy and excitement. The first day, when she got to her hotel room, her eyes lit up. BUNK BEDS! she never had bunk beds before and now shes got it. she climbed up and down the ladder over and over. So excited she couldn't contain herself at dinner. And she was a hassle to get to sleep on the top bunk. Finally she did, and tomorrow is Disney California.
Tuesday we started with the Breakfast with Characters, starring Chip and Dale. This was at the Grand Hotel. Taylor loves Chip and Dale. I didn't realize how much until this trip. She wanted pictures with them all the time.
Because we had gone to Disneyland the last 2 years, we knew where to go. We wanted to see exactly what we wanted to see. Disney California we went on Soaring California, Bugs Life show, and Twighlight Zone tower terror.
Wednesday and Thursday was Disneyland. Disneyland we took 2 days to go on Dumbo, Rockets, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Submarine Voyage with Nemo, Autopia (cars), Small World (Christmas), Winnie the Pooh.
The Submarine Voyage really wasn't any different than before. Except you see the story of Nemo as you "dive" deeper. It is definately not worth a 2 hour wait, nor a 1 hour wait. But we did it and we said "yes we went on the ride"
Wednesday we also got to go into toon Town Early. And in Toon Town, Mickey made us all honrary citizens. Taylor enjoys this area alot.
Also we went into the Princess area. She gets to meet princesses and make her own crown. She took pictures with Pocahantas, Sleeping Beauty and Belle.
We also went to Pirate's Lair, which used to be Tom Sawyer's Island. Taylor was deathly afraid of the tunnels. But once she was used to it, she was pulling me into the smallest of entrances.
She also took me up Tarzan's tree which used to be Swiss Family Robinsons. Lots and lots of steps... but we made it through. Mom, Dad and Wendy didn't go through. they made me do it. all the way to the top ( and down).
She still doesn't like Haunted Mansion (Christmas style) or Pirates of the Carribean.
After 3 days of great weather, Friday it poured. Not just rain, it poured. Disneyland made alot of money on ponchos. But it was our day to leave. But after leaving LA. it was clear skies all the way home.
Exhausted but it was fun. Taylor wasn't a brat like she was the year before. I'm glad I went this time. Taylor will go into Preschool so most likely there won't be a family trip to Disneyland. But I'm sure she will go with her cousins.
