Micheal Vick's Statement (via lawyer) = funny!
(AP) - Text of a statement by Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, as read outside U.S. District Court in Richmond, Va., on Thursday by lawyer Billy Martin:
Jason Smith of ESPN Radio points out a few things:
If it is truly WORDS from Micheal Vick... He's a bigger moron than we thought. Football has Training Camp, not Spring Training. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. If it isn't "his words" then the guy who wrote it is a moron, and the lawyer just lied to us. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Now I'm for "Prove Vick did it" but now it's "Prove Vick's not a moron."
Thanks Jason Smith for pointing it out.
"Today in court I pleaded innocent to the allegations made against me. I take these charges very seriously and look forward to clearing my good name. I respectfully ask all of you to hold your judgment until all of the facts are shown. Above all I would like to say to my mom I'm sorry for what she has had to go through in this most trying of times. It has caused pain to my family and I apologize to my family. I also want to apologize to my Falcon teammates for not being with them at the beginning of spring training."Now if you saw or heard the news conference, the lawyer paused before the last sentence to say (something like): "These are Micheal Vick's Words: 'I also want to apologize to my Falcon teammates for not being with them at the beginning of spring training.'"
Jason Smith of ESPN Radio points out a few things:
Rotten Statement- Mike Vick's so-called statement today was rotten. For starters, how sincere is an apology from Vick when it comes through his attorney? Not very. Second, the apology to his mom was a cheap sympathy play and completely transparent. Hasn't Vick had the time to personally apologize to his mother? Lastly, if this apology came from Vick, how come Vick apologized to his teammates for missing "spring training?" Wouldn't a football player apologize for missing "training camp" not "spring training?" This garbage apology was junk and makes Vick look even worse.I had to hear it twice. Football = Training Camp. Baseball = Spring Training. Football = Fall, Baseball = Spring.
